Thank goodness for WordPress and tag surfer! I was scrolling the posts and saw the headline “Church of Craft”
It was a post from a blog called Benny and Kelly. First I have to share their tag line: You smell like spray paint…I love you! hehehe! (My kind of people.)
Here is a small bit of the post:
We are loving this new movement and we just had to let you in on the awesomeness that is the Church of Craft! The church is a collective of people coming together to create an environment where any and all acts of creation have value and simple satisfaction. The Church of Craft maintains no dogma or doctrine beyond what every member believes for themselves.
These churches have begun popped up throughout the US, Canada and now the UK!
I can’t wait to go back to their site and read more posts. But this had me so curious as to what it was all about.
I did a quick search and found The Church of Craft site.
This is from the About section:
This website is intended to serve the community of crafters who participate in the Church of Craft in all of its chapters around the world.
It shall provide contact, craft support, advice, knowhowto, instructions, directions, tips, tricks, inspiration, and the blinding love of craft to all who seek it.
You can go to their site to find out if there is a chapter in your area or you can start one of your own. I just love their sermon found here.
Very cool!

I know it is not Christmas but I cannot wait until then to show you this eye candy!
Though I try not to post things that are for sale or cost money. This is just too good not to put up.
When I saw it I had to pick my jaw up off the floor.
Check these out:

And these are just a few of the kits they sell!

I found a tutorial on how to make this ring and thought I’d try it out. I think I went a little heavy on the tension and it didn’t quite turn out the same as in the photo. So I won’t be posting mine right now. I will try again though. It is a nice, simple (for some, just not me!) project posted over at a site I recently came across called 3D beading.

If you want to try your hand at it, you can find the instructions here.
Enjoy!

And isn’t your cat worth it?
The Evil Mad Scientist is at it again! This time with a Chaise Lounge for your Royal Feline.

You could finish this up by gluing on some batting or foam and covering it in fabric.
Find the instructions here.
