The Trojan Horse.

Just got in after a busy week-end. Mom and daughters get-together. Got out the sleeping bags, movies, ordered dinner and stuffed our faces full of every junk food we could get our hands on. Nice time had by all. I’m tired though  :)

But I wanted to quickly come on to let everyone know that Paul Gross (there is NOTHING gross about Paul!) is starring in “The Trojan Horse” tonight.

Here is a quip from the site:

“Set in modern day North America, McLaughlin watches as a majority of Canadians vote to join the United States of America. The Canadian flag comes down and the country is redrawn into six states. Backed by three powerful European intelligence agencies, McLaughlin runs as an independent for president of the newly formed United States with his ex-wife, Texas Governor Mary Miller (Martha Burns) as his running mate.

Veteran British journalist Helen Madigan (Greta Scacchi) uncovers a shocking plot to undermine democracy in the U.S. Believing McLaughlin is an honest broker, she looks to him to expose the corruption in the current administration but instead, discovers a diabolical scheme that will unravel families and nations.”

I’ve been busy…

and haven’t been keeping up with my site. I keep getting distracted by other blogs (they are just too interesting and I can’t help it!) and by the time I read and respond, I don’t even feel like writing a post.

I have to learn some self-discipline!

I’m still making a few jewelry pieces. I’m getting things done around the house that I had also put off. And I’ve been ignoring my health. Nothing bad, but putting off the inevitable because I didn’t want to have done what is needed. No big deal, it’s just that I thought if I ignored it long enough it would go away! LOL Oh my, talk about denial. It didn’t work.

I’m fine. I’ll try to post a bit more.  I have to manage my time better. I also have to get an awful lot done here at home these next few months. So, if I’m off for a bit, no worries. It’s all good. I’ll be out there lurking from time to time (okay probably lots just not making a bunch of comments) and will be posting my jewelry when I finish.

:)

Everyone Has an Agenda

I had to share this. Just thought it was cute. My husband and I were out the other day shopping for a new tap. He kept going over to the television section. There was no way I was going to follow him over, so I just continued shopping on my own.

The next store, same thing. However; I am completely ignoring him, I know where this is going. I did have to run into a bead store to buy a piece I needed and there just happens to be an electronics store near it. I am continuing to play dumb.

The thing is, he does not watch television at all. Never. I have a small clunky television that suits me fine as I don’t watch a lot of TV either. He’s looking at these big screen flat models for his video game system. It is not in the room that even has the cable hook-up.

I go into the bead store and he tells me he’ll just check out the electronics store to meet him in there. So while I grab my piece, he is talking to the store owner about a television. The man tells him that the sale price ends in a few days.

My husband turns, saw me coming across the parking lot and tells the man, “No, the sale ends as soon as she walks in, that’s my wife. She’s just going to pull me right out of here.”

They laughed. So, I walk in and finally ask him, “What’s up?”

“That TV is a great deal.” he’s eyeing it like a kid in a candy store.

“Oh yeah? The picture is really clear. Hmmm….”

He’s just standing there stalling.

“You might as well get it. It is pretty good deal.”

LOL

You should have seen his face! Too funny. All the way home.

He sets it up. And that’s  when I turn to him and say, “I guess I get my Mac, huh?”

Oh come on, everyone has an agenda!  :)

Happy Easter

Or whatever holiday you happen to be celebrating this week. Museditions was kind enough to post all the goings on these next few days. Some of which I’ve never even heard of. I think I need to get out more!

I was over at Moonbeam McQueens  site. One of the top ten lists this week was about music by Quaker Dave. I hadn’t even heard of half of the people he mentioned. He just introduced me to a few really awesome bands! Billy Bragg and Keb Mo. To think that I would have missed out on this!!!

Which got me to thinking if I were stranded on an Island (I already have my beads and books, and if I didn’t, just let me drown!!!  LOL) and had to choose just ONE cd, what would it be. While I love all types of music, I’d need to have something that had a mix of several genre’s. And though I listen to newer rock, there is nothing that wouldn’t bore me after a week. In the end I think I’d have to choose William Shakespeare’s Romeo&Juliet from the Motion Picture. I bought it for one song. Put it away for years because I thought it was, well…..a little too odd for my taste. Ha! It grew on me, and now I listen to it all the time.

So, what cd would you bring?

Today’s Post

….is over here.

I’m guest blogging over at Moonbeam McQueen’s site today. I made a video for her Teacup Puppy Campaign. It was my first attempt at making a video by myself and I had a lot of fun. Besides, Moonbeam gives us so many laughs, I thought I’d give one back!

Having An Off Day….

I’m in a rut. It happens.

I’m usually always in a good mood. My brother says he comes by because of that. I try to stay positive because why waste time being all depressed about stuff? It’s a drag. I avoid people like that, like it’s the plague.

I thought putting in a big order for some new beads would help. It did, for about 2 minutes. I pop in a Garbage CD, she rocks, even that hasn’t done the trick.

It’s the news. Politics. Canada. World news. I avoided all this stuff for months! Many months. Then I start reading blogs and get snared back into it again. But this is a bead site. And I have opinions, too many some would say. It might surprise many (who don’t already know me) that I am well-researched and quite sarcastic in nature. Don’t let this friendly little bead site fool you into thinking otherwise.  I keep it light-hearted and clean because it’s a blog that people of all ages come to.  :)

I would start another blog, but maintaining two would just take up too much of my time. And my stress level would shoot through the roof. I’m at a crossroad here.

To top it off, my favorite show Jericho, killed off my eye candy the last episode!!!  (D.B Sweeney)

Does anyone have any chocolate to spare?
