Please Tell Me This is a Joke.

Don’t you think things are getting a bit carried away when you read stuff like this:

A new law in Texas saying that every computer repair person must now obtain a Private Investigator License?

2 articles worth reading here and here.

I wonder what the real story behind this is?

There is a bit of a dispute going on here as to just what the law really means.

It’s so techies can snoop on you when they are fixing your computer - if anything dodgy they then can legally report you.

  2. museditions Says:

I dunno…if this starts spreading to other states, I’ll have to go to tech school and learn how to fix my own PC—oh yeah, and get a P.I. Lic. as well so I can snoop on myself. We live in interesting times.

I wanted to say that, Will. But I am always teetering on the edge of conspiracy here and thought I’d keep my trap shut. So thanks :)

LOL! Can you imagine, Muse? I keep thinking, what next? And then, you hear something like this. It’s never ending.

They hate us because of our freedoms. So, take all our freedom away. They win, we lose. Who is it really that hates our freedom and is taking it away?

We fall for it. Good little sheeple that we are. And we question why our education system is a joke? An idiot can’t question what they have no clue about. That’s just the way it’s meant to be.

I am so sorry. So negative…..I try. I really do.

  4. dissfunktional Says:

If I spent the extra dough on getting the PI background, I’d do something more interesting than computers with it I think.
This is a WTF! No Texas firms for fixing my machine, seriously. Chit.

  5. dissfunktional Says:

“Anyone that analyzes computer data has conducted this regulated service and needs a license,” Miller said.

This is going somewhere. Somewhere that is notfunny.
Like Beadden, I’m always teetering on the edge of conspiracy.
I work daily on computers, analyzing the market, financials, etc.

    It’s computer data.

Where are they going with this, and to bring it up the way they did?

  6. thebeadden Says:

    Hehehe…me too, diss.

I wonder how long it will be before it sweeps nation wide.

  7. thebeadden Says:

I agree. It is so not funny.

I keep wondering when the rest of the politicians/congress/senate, whoever, will finally grow a spine a say enough is enough.

When is enough, enough? When it’s too late to do anything about it?

Diss, I have my own little version of WTF files at my Randomness site that I call What I’ve Been Reading.
