Sorry about not getting all of this up yesterday.YouTube was doing maintenance and I couldn’t upload my videos.
Now that I have done this cover, I see where I could have made certain steps at the same time instead of breaking them up. But when you are ‘winging it’ it’s hard to see ahead of what you are doing. So, I will still finish putting up this tutorial.
I did get to see where I was going wrong with the use of my camera and lighting. When I am done decorating my house. I am going to re-do this one. It will be more focused, have better lighting and easier, quicker steps.
But I probably won’t have it up before Christmas. I think I’d like to make some videos doing some beaded jewelry too. (After Christmas as well)
For now, let’s continue on with the Ornament cover:
Written Instructions Part 3
You should now have gone through the same red Accent bead that you started from.
Go down through the 7 Main and 1 Accent bead.
(I don’t think I stressed in the video. Maybe i edited it a bit much! You do 2 rounds of the 7 Main, 1 Accent, 7 Main two times in total.) So this next step is written here:
You should now be through the 1 red Accent bead at the bottom of the loop.
Pick up 7 Main, 1 Accent, 7 Main
Go through the 1 red Accent bead at the bottom of the next loop.
Repeat this until you go around the entire cover again ending up exactly where you started.
By now your thread should be through the 1 red Accent bead where you began.
Go DOWN through the 7 Main beads and 1 red Accent Bead.
Pick up 3 red Accent beads
Go through the same Accent bead you threaded through (at the bottom of the loop in the last step) but the opposite direction.
You came out here X, <—–go back through this side
added 3 beads XX
……………………………….X
Here is where things change.
This time go up through the 7 Main green beads, the 1 Accent bead, down through the next 7 Main and 1 Accent Bead.
You should end up through the 1 red Accent bead of the next loop.
Pick up 3 Accent beads and repeat the same steps as above until you end up exactly where you started.
When finished you should end up with 8 small red designs around your cover.
When you reach the end. Go through the Accent beads until you come out the bottom one of the circle.

Pick up 5 Main green Beads, 1 Accent and 5 Main
Bring your needle through the opposite side of the same 1 Red Accent bead in bold. You should end up with a small round circle.
Go through the next 7 Main beads, 1 Accent, 7 main and the next 1Accent bead.
Pick up 5 Main green Beads, 1 Accent and 5 Main
Bring your needle through the opposite side of the same 1 Red Accent bead in bold. You should end up with a small round circle. Repeat this until you end up in the exact place you started.
You should have a total of 8 small round circles on you cover.
Summing it up
- We made the base loop that goes around the top of the ornament.
- using 5 Main, 1 Accent, 5 Main and going through each Accent bead around the base loop, we formed the first complete circle of small loops.
- We went down through 5 Main and the 1 Accent of one of the small loops.
- Again using the same formula (5 Main, 1 Accent, 5 Main) and pulled our needle through the 1 red Accent bead at the bottom of the next loop from the previous step. We continued this to form the second complete circle of loops around the cover.
- We went down through the 5 main and 1 Accent bead of the first loop made in the last step.
- This time we picked up 7 Main, 1 Accent, 7 Main. We pulled our needle through the 1 Red Accent Bead on the bottom of the next loop from the previous step.
- We repeated the 7 Main, 1 Red, 7 Main to form the third complete circle around the cover. Ending up exactly where we started. (Through the first red Accent bead.)
- We went down the 7 Main and 1 Accent. Bringing us to the bottom of the first loop of the last step.
- We picked up 7 Main, 1 Accent, 7 Main and pulled our needle through the next 1 Red accent bead on the bottom of the next loop. Repeating this until we have formed the fourth complete circle of loops around the cover.
- We have pulled our needle through the 1 Red Accent Bead where we first began the finished loop. We went down through 7 Main and 1 Accent bead of the loop.
- We picked up 3 red Accent Beads and pulled our needle back through the same 1 Red Accent bead we came out of but in the opposite direction. We went up through the beads to reach the 1 Red Accent bead at the bottom of the next loop in the forth circle.
- We repeated this same step until we had completed going around the entire cover. (You should have 8 of these small red designs on your cover.) Ending up exactly where we began. Pulling our needle through the first 1 Red accent bead where we started.
- Next we went down through 2 of Accent beads end up on one side of the bottom Accent Bead of the design.

X <—-this one.
- We picked up 5 Main, 1 Accent, 5 Main and brought our needle through the 1 Accent Bead shown in above in bold. But in the opposite direction. (Out one way, in the other)
- We worked our way through the beads to end up at the bottom Accent Bead in the next small loop (red design) and continued this pattern all the way around the cover.
In this next short video I am just jabbering about my the beads I used.

Goodness. Someone is feeling fiesty these days.
I like your videos. The beads are really small – they are not easy to see so I don’t know how you do it all, but I’m glad you wrote it up too because that helps!
@ Teeni, lol! I know it is hard too see. I really do want to do a remake when I am done with my Christmas decorating. Now that this pattern has been done, I can make the steps quicker too.
I’ve never written out instructions before either, so that was a learning curve. It was like….Argghhhhhh!
Glad you like it though.
The next one will be better.
