  1. Hi,

Care to share how you finished off this russian spiral with bugle beads.

    I have tries but failed.

Hope you can share with me.

    Thanks

  2. Anna, I went upstairs to get the necklace and can’t find it. I recently moved my bead room and now everything is everywhere. I am sure I never gave it away or lent it out. Give me a day or two and I’ll see if I can find out and throw up another photo.

It was one of the first few necklaces that I made so it would have been done with some cheap clasp, I’m sure. I remember it being very awkward because of the slant you are left with at the end.

I’ll do my best to get it up asap.

    Thanks for stopping by! :)

  3. Oh Anna! I never did find mine. One of my family members must have borrowed it and not returned it! Now I have to hunt them down.

I do remember having a hard time with it because of the slant. And I think I ended up adding a bunch of seed beads to bulk it up at the end and then added a clash.

Here are a few ideas that I hope will help you.

This is a video for a beaded clasp:

Have a look at how this piece was finished with bugle beads:

This will give you an idea of how to bulk up the end with some seed beads.

I hope I was able to help. Let me know and I apologize for not getting back to you sooner.

  4. Katerinka, you are so nice to share your tutorials. Thank you!
I am sure they will be useful for many people. This site has so many hits from people looking for help and ideas.

  5. I have just done my first Russian Spiral, and used buglebeads like you. To finish, I just used the seed beeds, decreasing the conem then add a barrel clasp.
I am very pleased with the result, and will post the finished necklace on the Beaders Showcase site.
