Mom and I have slowing been setting up a small work area in the back porch. It is nowhere near done. We are pretty excited about it!
I have been busy sorting and organizing all my tools. I do this about 2 times a year because my husband never puts anything back. Everything gets put in bins and then I have the chore of putting it all back. This time will be the last, I have put my foot down! We’ll see if it works.
You can see most are still missing pieces:
She made this picture frame a while ago. I love how it turned out. Mom loves nature crafts. (I took that picture of my nephew around 14 years ago. It’s one of my favorites. We took him to the zoo for the first time and he loved seeing all the animals.) Back to the frame:

Another thing we have been doing is trying to make use of all my old picture frames. I have so many and need to make use of them. We have plenty of paintings that could go into some. Mom decided to put her mini purses inside one:

I painted a plain old white one and put in a painting by my husbands great Aunt:

I made up a few of the tree branch garden markers and will post them soon. We should be finished the work room in a few weeks. Next year we will paint and make some changes. We just couldn’t be bothered this year.
Happy crafting to everyone!

The frames are great! The pic of your nephew is incredible; I see why you like it. So glad you and your mother will have this wonderful space; looks like it’s coming right along. and…uh oh, your husband better shape up!
Thanks, Muse! We usually store our seasonal things back there, so we will have to build some type of sub floor halfway up the wall and put some things on it. It will be a great little area.

The colour gets to me, I’ll change it next year. My father-in-law used it as a bedroom in the 80′s one summer when he rented out his house for a month. I guess that was the ‘in’ colour.
Ha! I said it nicely to my husband. I understand why he never puts things back. I have most things in the cases or tool boxes and then they are stacked. It’s a chore to put it back. I found a great idea to remedy this and will make a post soon. I will tell him you said to shape up though. hehehe
Great to hear from you!!
How are things with you? Do you have the hubbie whipped into shape yet? The OH has been trying to train me for more than 15 years and still complains about slow progress!
I continue to pop by your blog every month or so, hoping for a blog update…
Great to see you, Stonehead! Hubbie is having a hard time waiting for this cold weather to end so he can get out there. We have made leaps and bounds with our gardening and food! It is much more time consuming and work than I had thought. Don’t know how you manage!
I have been and still am so busy right now. Had a few days off and managed to sneak in some beading. I wish I could find more time to blog. There were so many things I had planned, but life just rushed up and said…get busy!
I am hoping to post a bit here and there. I just can’t seem to find the blog I want…all in one.
I read about your accident. You poor man! I feel for you…can’t imagine you sitting there with your arm up like that! Getting grumpy yet?
