Bracelets

The dreaded bracelet. I’ve made a few. If you have been reading this blog for a while you’ll remember that I force myself to make them. For some reason earrings and bracelets just “do nothing” for me. But I want to learn patterns and stitches so I have made a few.

Some for fun, for children and even one for me :)

Here are some bracelets I’ve made over the last six months or so….

This one is mine! I made it to match the necklace and choker set. I’m not one for wearing jewelry, but I have to say these just scream meeeeee!  :)

A few others, some go with necklaces I have made.

And finally some fun stretchy and childrens bracelets

Oh, I managed to scratch off a few more things from my “unfinished business” list. Everything will be added to my jewelry gallery. Yay! I’m getting there……..

What I’m working on.

Two things. I will be adding a How-To section to outside links that give instructions for some of the projects here.

I’m working on a bracelet designed by BJ Guderian. It is a tiered peyote stitch from the October 2002 Bead & Button magazine. It doesn’t look the same. (I used different colours and beads.) But I used the same guidelines.

This is what the back looks like:

When I first learn a stitch, a project goes pretty slow. I’m nearing 4 hours of work on this so far. (Not all at once) It really sparkles in the light. I went out and bought a nice clasp for it. I’ll post when and if I get around to finishing it.

I might get that how-to section up tonight. My normally hour and 15 minute drive to the city took me 3 hrs due to weather and accidents. So I’m stressed and tired. I think “House” is on tonight too.

JERICHO starts Feb 12th (I think) I can’t wait!

Happy beading :)
