Learning the Art of Chain Maille

Do you remember when I said working with seedbeads was frustrating? Those tiny little things can stray everywhere, they get lost under my finger nails (what little I have) and I have to use a magnifier just to make things with them.

Well, I am now learning something even more frustrating. Chain Maille. Right now I’m using CHEAP jump rings and I’m not bothering to solder any of the links. I’m just learning the different weaves for now. I’ve learned not to put it down until you mark where you have left off. Geez…opening all the rings take a lifetime. And I have the attention span of, oh, about 2 minutes. This is something that you turn everything off, lock yourself in a room and concentrate on what you are doing.

But look at it. I love this stuff! It is soooo worth the effort.
